With the recent COVID-19 pandemic, concurrent disaster events have significantly changed the required responses and urged academia to fast-track research addressing the impact of climate change and the sustainability of the modern built environment.
"The Climate Change Challenge" is an annual series aimed at showcasing the recent advancements in each individual field of scientific and humanities research. We are looking for research that highlights solutions/mitigations, challenges, obstacles, and communal decisions that have been made to work towards a more sustainable future for the next generation to profit from. Solutions such as low embodied energy construction materials that can reduce the carbon footprint of buildings and infrastructures are typical research areas for this collection.
